Join us for a performance based screening of the family classic The Witches on Sunday 1 July at Cornerhouse. Children should be accompanied by an adult – as you might be in for a few surprises and some unexpected guests!
Luke stumbles across a sinister convention in his hotel where witches have gathered to prepare for the Grand High Witch’s plot to turn all the children of England into mice. Can Luke and his grandmother foil the evil witches plans?
There is also a workshop after the main screening on Sunday 1 July with potion preparation, mask making and witchy games. Booking for the workshop is available only over the phone or in person from Cornerhouse Box Office (0161 200 1500, open 12:00 – 20:00 daily). There are limited places available, tickets for the worshop are an additional £2 per child (free for accompanying adults). All child attendees must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Each child can be accompanied by up to 2 adults for no extra charge.
There is an additional, non performance based, screening of The Witches on Wednesday 4 July.
Programmed by Cornerhouse and the Library Theatre Company in partnership with Manchester Children’s Book Festival.
